A late 19th century Syrian Damascus mother or pearl and bone parquetry hardwood games table, applied overall with geometric inlay, the hinged top opening to a baize lined gaming surface, with secondary hinges opening to a backgammon board, enclosed by four compartments with sliding covers, raised upon curvilinear legs united by an 'X' cross stretcher and rectangular undershelf, 82cm H x 82cm W x 43cm D

Inlay loss to central lozenge on table top, 10cm x 8cm, other minor losses to the inlay. Cross stretcher broken/detached at one leg joint, repairs to the hinges on the table top with some minor inlay loss.
Minor split to one side of the back gammon board, only very minor losses to the inside of the table although the baize has been replaced.
Some repairs and alterations to underside of table top where it sits on the base, general wear commensurate with age and use
