More Information

There does not appear to be any splitting or signs of repair to the fish-scale detail on the sides, however the body does show areas of misshaping, some thinning and loss to the scale detail. Base in good order, some marks which look like the beginning signs of splitting, but no large dents or signs of repair. Handle in good order, hinged mechanism in working order, no denting, thinning, splitting or repair. Moderate wear to the hallmarks, particularly the maker's mark. Scratching and wear to silver pail throughout.

The glass shows a mid-sized conchoidal fracture to the rim, and a few other small nibbles. No cracks or signs of repair. Scratching and wear throughout.
