An Art Nouveau silver mounted mirror by Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1902, the shaped border with embossed scrolling floral decoration, 21cm high

Overall condition is poor. The silver cover has moderate to heavy splitting and denting concentrated at the high points. Areas of gilt are heavily worn. The cover is coming away from the backboard at the top of the mirror. There is extremely heavy wear to the purple velvet backboard, most notably at the edges around the silver mount. The hinge on the easel is quite wobbly, but does stand up and does sit flat on a level surface. The mirror itself is in good order, no chips, cracks or fractures.
