A 16th/17th century oak six plank coffer, the hinged cover with incised channelled detail, above the front board carved with stylised foliate panels and flowerhead roundels, raised upon 'V' cut end supports, 53cm H x 118cm W x 41cm D (at fault)

Slight warp in cover, which is mounted on later hinges, one detached, the lock is later. End panels/supports are possibly later associated as one is slightly thicker than the other, the left hand side has a minor horizontal split just above the 'V' cut, general wear commensurate with age and use, no visible signs of worm
